Initiative Robots

Our team has organized several off-season builds to give our students opportunities to expand their STEM skills througouth the year. We have built FIRST-inspired robots as well as robots for our community.

Training Through Zilla

During the summer and early fall, Pink Team students design, build, program, and test a robot based on the previous season's FRC challenge, with the goal of competing at Space Coast Showdown. This is a unique opportunity for our team to implement lessons learned, practice problem solving skills, have veterans teach rookies, and strengthen the confidence of the whole team moving into the next build season.

O-BOT

We built O-BOT, or Outreach bot, in 2025 to bring the excitement of FIRST directly to our community by bringing hands-on, interactive experiences to our outreach events. It features a 3-ball capacity mechanism that shoots balls one at a time for participants to catch. O-BOT helps us share our passion for robotics in a way that's approachable, memorable, and fun for all.

Rockledge PD Bot

The Rockledge PD Bot was created by The Pink Team to assist local law enforcement in hostage situations. Developed in 2010, the robot helped save approximately 12 lives. Recently, the robot was decommissioned as we begin developing Rockledge PD Bot V2.

Weather Balloon Bot

The Weather Balloon Bot was developed at the request of NASA. They faced challenges in sending out weather balloons before rocket launches in harsh weather conditions. In response, we created a durable robot capable of withstanding these conditions to deliver the balloon to its launch point for release.
